Carnival T-Shirt Project


You will be working in pairs to design a t-shirt for a local carnival. You will be given a handout (linked from the Word document below) with all the information you'll need to solve for costs and estimate profit for these t-shirts. You must answer all questions on the handout but you can present the information in any way you want. You can make a poster by hand, do a PowerPoint presentation, do a GoogleDocs presentation, or use one of the online tools listed below. Here are links to sites that might be helpful as well as examples of completed projects.

Glogster: This site will allow you to make an online poster. You can add text, pictures and other graphics to make your presentation fun and exciting.

Prezi: This site allows you to make an online presentation. You can add text, pictures, videos, and other graphics to make your presentation more interesting.

T-Shirt Templates: You can access different t-shirt templates from Google images here. Download the image and create your logo right on the t-shirt! You can create your logos by importing the t-shirt template into Word or another drawing program. Save it and import it to your presentation! You can also access the t-shirts already in Word by clicking the links below.







Links for Creating Symmetric Drawings:

  • Create your symmetric logo then take a screenshot of it (Shift, Command, 4) and insert it into Word on your t-shirt! You can then take a screenshot of your finished project to use in your final presentation.

Directions for working with Excel

Use the following video tutorials to help you format your Excel spreadsheets and make graphs using tables in Excel
Once you've completed the table, take a screenshot so you can use it in your final project.

Directions for working in Word
  • If you are using the toolbox to make shapes, double click on the shape then click the Layout tab; highlight "In Front of Text" so you can manipulate the object on top of your t-shirt design.
  • If you are using the links above to make symmetric drawings, insert the pictures and then format by double clicking on the picture and completing the same steps as above.
